A man ought to read just as inclination leads him, for what he reads as a task will do him little good.

Change of Focus

Where have I been? Recently, I dug deep into the "front" pages of my site. I discovered so much had happened since the last time I had visited to do any work on it. It was like arriving to a vacation cabin after a couple years and finding that it had become infested with bugs and broken windows!

How did this happen? With greater and greater emphasis on the latest education "reforms" like No Child Left Behind, Race to the Top, and Common Core, I found myself with less time to read new books and write reviews and articles. I was still writing, but instead of text, I was writing code. Lots of it!

My focus had switched away from making a site useful and hopefully interesting to other teachers and students for its written word. Now I was focusing on making web apps that would be useful to me. And, hopefully, to other teachers and students, too, of course!

In the few years since my last book review or article, I have created almost 20 printable pages, apps, and interactive pages! If you haven't seen them yet, be sure to visit the Resources link, available in the menu at left, under the category "More".

Thank you for visiting my site. If you find anything useful or would like to make comments to me, please use the Contact Mr. Flores link. I am getting better at responding, so be sure to include your email if you would like a response.

Stay tuned for more book review, articles, and new coding projects!
